Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by AboutUs ("we," "our," or "us"), including our website, removal engagements, deliverables, and any related materials. By engaging our services or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Services
Scope of Engagement
AboutUs provides digital content removal and reputation management services including but not limited to: defamatory article removal, NCII and explicit content takedown, DMCA enforcement, search result suppression, and ongoing reputation monitoring. The specific scope, timeline, and deliverables for each engagement will be defined in a separate Statement of Work ("SOW") or engagement agreement signed by both parties prior to commencement.
Consultation Calls
Initial consultations are offered at no charge and do not constitute a binding agreement for services. No engagement relationship is established until a signed SOW and payment are in place.
Deliverables
All deliverables, timelines, and removal targets will be outlined in the applicable SOW. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to meet agreed-upon timelines. Removal timelines are estimates based on platform response rates and are not guaranteed unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Engagement Terms
Standard Removal
Standard removal engagements are per-case and fixed in scope. The engagement begins upon receipt of payment and concludes upon delivery of a removal verification report. Early termination by the client does not entitle the client to a refund of fees already paid.
Monthly Retainer
Monthly retainer engagements renew automatically each calendar month unless cancelled in writing with a minimum of 14 days' notice before the next billing cycle. A minimum 3-month commitment applies to all retainer plans.
Enterprise / Custom
Enterprise engagements are governed by a separately negotiated master services agreement. Terms, pricing, and scope are defined on a per-client basis.
Payment
All fees are due in advance of service commencement unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept payment via credit card, wire transfer, and other methods specified at checkout. All fees are non-refundable except where explicitly stated in your SOW.
Confidentiality
All client information, case details, and engagement terms are handled under strict confidentiality. We will not disclose your identity, case details, or any associated information to third parties without your explicit written consent, except where required by law.
No Guarantee of Results
While we maintain a 90%+ removal success rate across 30,000+ monthly cases, we do not guarantee removal of all content in all circumstances. Platform policies, jurisdictional limitations, and hosting provider responses are outside our direct control. We will communicate clearly if a requested removal is not achievable.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AboutUs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 30 days preceding the claim.
Intellectual Property
All methodologies, tools, reports, and documentation produced by AboutUs remain the intellectual property of AboutUs unless explicitly transferred in writing. Evidence reports and removal documentation provided to clients are licensed for their personal and legal use only.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
